About Susan Thompson-Brown, MPT, RYT and LifeDance Susan has practiced physical therapy with an emphasis on holistic manual therapy for over twenty years. She holds a masters in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University and Bachelor's of Science in Nutritional Science and Exercise Physiology from the University of Arizona. She has studied Integrative Manual Therapy through Dialogues in Contemporary Rehabilitation in Bloomfield, Connecticut and craniosacral therapy through the Upledger Institute. Susan is certified in Dry Needling technique through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy, Spinal Manipulation Institute. A lifelong love of yoga led her to train with Sacred Seeds yoga school in 2012; she is currently a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She has developed and instructed yoga dance fusion and jazz dance classes, and The Flexible Athlete program in Portland, Maine. Most recently, Susan has developed Manual Restorative Yoga, an individualized approach to healing, incorporating restorative yoga with manual, hands on mobilization, to address chronic pain, myofascial restrictions, and long standing postural dysfunctions.
LifeDance includes yoga classes and private sessions, professional continuing education and inservices, movement programs through physical therapy and The Flexible Athlete program, and manual therapy techniques specific to the needs of each client. |

Self help techniques in therapeutic massage with yoga massage balls offer a personalized approach for addressing persistent restrictions.
